Hey you,
So life's been a bit...chaotic lately (to put it mildly)
I'm moving house Not just around the corner But a whole 4 hours away While battling this stupid cold
(because timing is never convenient, is it?)
The truth is... Sometimes priorities have to shift The newsletter took a back seat Work had to be reimagined And plans got a little fuzzy (and that's completely okay)
Just because something gets put on the back burner...
They're still on the stove
It is still getting heat
Still part of the meal
Just not demanding all your attention right now (and just like a good roast its all about timing)
Today's 4-3-2-1 is about giving yourself permission to put things down temporarily without giving up on them completely
4 Journal Prompts to Navigate Your Shifting Seasons:
What have you put on the back burner that you still value? How can you honor it while it waits?
When was the last time a "pause" actually made something better in your life?
What fear is hiding behind your worry about putting something on hold?
If this transition had a purpose beyond the obvious, what might it be teaching you? (dig deep on this one)
3 Questions to Light Your Fire
How could you turn this transition period into a creative project of its own?
What ritual could you design to say "see you later" (not goodbye) to the things you're temporarily setting aside?
If this chapter of your life was a movie, what unexpected plot twist might make the story more interesting?
2 Affirmations to Keep it Real
"Realigning my priorities isn't giving up, it's growing up."
"I trust my journey, even when the path takes unexpected turns."
1 Tool: The "Seasonal Thinking" Method (because nature's got this figured out)
Just like the natural world has seasons, so does your life:
Identify which season you're in (planting, growing, harvesting, or resting)
Honor the current season's demands
Remember that no season lasts forever
Plant seeds even in winter for future growth
Final Note: Look, I'm not going to pretend it's easy Putting this newsletter on hold felt weird
Starting a "regular job" feels like a plot twist.
But i have come to realise you can work on yourself and set yourself up for an amazing life, while working that “regular job”
Moving 4 hours away is both exciting and terrifying
(and having a cold on top of it all? Well, i have had a word with the big man about that. Just cruel)
But here's what I know for sure:
Change isn't giving up
It's growing in a different direction
It's saying "this matters enough to come back to"
While also admitting "right now, something else needs my focus"
And to anyone out there telling you:
"You're giving up on your dreams" "You're selling out" "You're taking the easy way"
They've got it all wrong
Because realigning your goals?
That's courage
That's wisdom
That's actually the hardest thing to do
So as I pack these boxes
Battle this annoying cold
And prepare for a whole new chapter
I'm not saying goodbye to anything
Just "see you on the other side" (where I'll probably have even better stories to tell)
Until next week, Embrace the change X
